Lives Depend on Your Choices

Every decision behind the wheel has the power to protect children, older adults, road workers, and everyone who uses our streets.
SAFE—Streets Are For Everyone—is a province-wide road safety initiative encouraging drivers to slow down, stay alert, avoid distractions, and be prepared to stop in School Zones, Community Safety Zones, and Construction Zones.

Every Street Tells a Story

Every day, people across Ontario travel through school zones, community safety zones, and construction zones.

Children walk to school.
Families cross busy streets.
Older adults stay active in their communities.
Road workers maintain the infrastructure we all depend on.

These everyday moments depend on one thing:

The choices drivers make.

SAFE was created to encourage safer driving behaviours that help protect everyone who shares our streets.

About SAFE

SAFE – Streets Are For Everyone is a road safety awareness initiative developed by the Ontario Traffic Council through funding provided by Ontario’s Road Safety Community Partnership Program (RSCPP).
The campaign helps municipalities educate drivers and promote safer behaviour in areas where vulnerable road users are present.
